How and why you should start a blog for your business - CMA The Content Marketing Academy

How and why you should start a blog for your business

The Content Marketing Companion is a regular feature on the CMA blog. We take a content marketing topic and pull together all the best content on that topic from the Internet. Our aim is to provide you with quick access to great content to help you develop your content marketing skills.

If business blogging is such a tried and tested way to get your message out to your potential customers, why don’t more businesses do it?

I’ve spoken at a few events this past few weeks, and in most cases when I ask “who has a blog for their business?”, it’s 20% of the room at the most that raise their hand.

We find ourselves deep into 2015, yet most people still don’t take advantage of the relatively easy and affordable way to communicate with their potential customers.

Do you have a blog that you regularly contribute to?

We polled our Facebook community and asked “Do you have a blog that you contribute to at least once per week?” This is what they said:

  • Yes x 8
  • No x 14
