It’s been about 8 weeks since The Content Marketing Academy conference in September 2014 and we’ve been doing what we can to keep the motivation alive!
One of my big objectives and aims for the day was to make sure we plugged the gap between the conference/workshop and the workplace.
I’m sure you’ve been to many conferences in the past and once you get back to work you get distracted by everything that’s going. For whatever reason you never find the time to put what you’ve learned in to practice. Shortly after this the motivation and inspiration fades and before you know it a year has passed and nothing’s changed.
Well…this is NOT good enough for me and I get VERY excited when I see our delegates taking massive action.
In this article I am pleased to be showcasing the work of Alistair Booth, Founder of The HR Booth.
In this past year Alistair has been developing his marketing and taking massive action; from blogging to printed newsletters, and now the launch of Engage, his brand new podcast show.
I’ve really enjoyed my marketing this year, trying different things including blogs, printed newsletter and email campaigns. TCMA really inpsired me as it was an opportunity to network with like minded people but also to listen to the keynote speakers, hearing what has worked for them and different ways to reach out to my audience.
I was inspired to launch my own podcast and had been thinking about this for a few weeks, having listened to Colin Gray’s podcast show for a few weeks. The podcast section of TCMA reinforced my thoughts on how effective this could be for me and I set about implementing this and I’m delighted to say that less than 8 weeks since TCMA I’ve now released 4 episodes. TCMA really highlighted that the preparation and consistency of podcasting (and all content marketing) is important so I’m glad I’ve followed the advice.
Can’t wait until TCMA 2015 and I’m sure I can share my experiences with the other delegates!
