On Friday 5th September I made the long journey (from the west coast of Scotland) up to Fife to attend The Content Marketing Academy 2014. Having been working to promote TCMA for a couple of months I was really excited for the event to finally happen. I was also excited to not only be an organiser but also a delegate and expand my own knowledge of content marketing. Here is my experience of The Content Marketing Academy 2014 and why you should attend TCMA 2015.
John Lee Dumas – Why podcasting needs to be part of your content marketing strategy
For The Content Marketing Academy 2014 I would have loved to invite my favourite thought leaders to come along and speak to the delegates, but for a few different reasons this just wasn’t going to be possible for the first content marketing conference in Scotland.
So I reached out to a few people to ask them if they would be kind enough to record a short video to add value to the conference as a whole.
John Lee Dumas was one of two people that helped us out and he kicked off the afternoon session with this video.
What I wanted John to do was to really get across the power of podcasting any why 2014 is the year to make it part of your overall content marketing strategy.
In this 7 minute video John does exactly that.
I hope you enjoy the message and as always please let us know what you think in the comments section below.

PS Big shout out to John for taking time out of his busy schedule to help out and get involved!

Eleven reasons to attend The Content Marketing Academy 2014
Since the ticket registration went live at the start of July 2014 we have had a lot of interest about The Content Marketing Academy, along with a number of questions about what to expect.
Are you curious as to why you should attend The Content Marketing Academy?
Here are eleven reasons you seriously don’t want to miss The Content Marketing Academy on 5th September 2014.
One – Be part of something unique
The Content Marketing Academy is the first and only annual content marketing conference in Scotland. We’re proud of Scottish and UK businesses and we want to provide a conference that is specifically for those small business owners in Scotland and the UK who are trying to compete with the rest of the world.
TCMA is going to get bigger and better over the next few years and you’ll be able to look back in years to come and take pride in being there. Why wouldn’t you want to be there at the beginning of something special?
