Here at CMA we have a huge amount of respect for Richard Tubb. It has been great getting to know him over the past year or so and we’ve taken a lot of inspiration from him in terms of improving and developing our business in general.
Perhaps one of the main reasons that Richard has become a successful business owner, and looked up to by many of his peers, is that he has invested a lot of his valuable time and effort into personal development, and over time has progressively improved, developed and honed his craft.
Although Richard is well known as a consultant and advisor for MSP’s and IT Support Providers, a lot of the content Richard creates and shares is about personal development and productivity, which is closely linked to business development and growth.
We recently spent some of our time over on Richard’s award winning blog at www.tubblog.co.uk, and pulled out his best personal development and productivity lessons to share them with you.

“I’ve been experimenting with building better habits over the past twelve months. The overall experiment has been a success as I have a number of new positive daily habits – such as reading a chapter of a book, meditating, going for a walk – which I no longer think about doing each day. Just like brushing your teeth, I just do them.”

The reality is that we are all prone to distraction and procrastination. In this article Richard examines why removing distractions, not ignoring them, is the key to becoming more productive.
“We’re led to believe that multi-tasking is possible when the reality is, short of natural actions such as walking and talking, multi-tasking isn’t possible. It doesn’t take a lot to distract any of us, but we often make life difficult for ourselves.”
